Modernism


1. Modernism started in the year 1890’s and it approximately lasted till the 1945’s.

2.  It was based on making use of means that was rational as well logical in order to gain
    knowledge.

3. It was also characterized as a hierarchical as well as an organized and determinate
    nature of knowledge.

4. Modernism had an objective approach that included being theoretical as well as
    analytical.

5. Modernism could also be seen as a search for an abstract truth of life.

Post modernism


1. Started after the 2nd world war after the year 1968.

 2. It denied the request of logical thinking.

3. It was based on a non-totalized, indeterminate as well as an anarchical state of
    knowledge.

4. It was also very subjective.

5. The postmodernism thinkers had a way of believing that there was absolutely no
    universal truth, abstract or otherwise.
