Layout
The layout on the overall design was done very neat and precise. Anyone can see that there was planning involved. Their designs is good and I think that is how they attract their customers because of the visual impact, its effective and makes you a little curious to see what is inside.
Use of Type
I think the Type they used works really well with the layout of the cover. The white Typeface on the pattern background makes it stand out more which I think was a clever choice to do.
I do not think that the design type right at the top that was cut off half gives a negative impact on the design, its creative and something different from any other magazines which makes it memorable.
Content
Their content structure is also neat and clear, they used text-alignment to make everything work together. The content also sometimes consist of images that are manipulated with the use of a computer to make it more creative and interesting to complement the layout.
Style
If you take a look at one of the design Indaba magazine covers, one can almost say its cultural inspired with the use of traditional patterns and sculptures etc. as well as a little taste of everything else. Its modern, and innovative as well as inspiring.
Market
I would say their target market is everyone who needs inspiration and new ideas.
